About Hammel

Since 1961, Hammel Furniture has manufactured furniture based on proud Danish craftsmanship traditions. Production takes place at our factories in Hammel (central Jutland) and Skærbæk (southern Jutland). In Hammel, the factory manufactures dining tables, coffee tables and shelving (including the well-known Mistral shelving, which celebrates its 30^th anniversary in 2021). The factory in Skærbæk, which joined the Hammel family in 2018, has been manufacturing beautiful dining tables and lounge chairs since 1946.

Hammel Furniture’s mission is to contribute to a life in harmony. The furniture factory manufactures furniture that lasts a lifetime. Timeless furniture with a twist. Furniture that can be composed to create harmony in the home, and which can be adapted depending on which stage of life you’re at. Furniture that lasts for years.
All Hammel furniture is manufactured in Denmark, and sustainably wherever possible.

At Hammel we strive to contribute to more harmony both internally among our colleagues and externally with our partners. We are on a journey where we want to grow, but in a harmonious way. It requires common values that are defined from within - a strong culture that is passed on to new colleagues, suppliers and customers. Hammel has therefore been through a process where we have had a taste of the DNA of Hammel together, discussed in smaller and larger internal forums, drawn, told, laughed and assessed. Hammel Furniture

Hammel Furniture is a modern and socially conscious company with a contemporary, powerful production machinery and quality embedded in every step of the process. Hammel Furniture is owned by a group of four owners with Jens-Ole Staghøj as CEO and Jon Knudsen as chairman of the board. The 25,000 m2 headquarters in Hammel has 55 employees across administration and production. The chair factory in Skærbæk has moved into a large new 33,000 m2 facility and has 21 employees.

Hammel’s in-house designers create furniture based on the keywords of Function, Flexibility, and Possibilities, as well as details within the three product groups of Dining, Living, and Storage. At Hammel Furniture, we listen to our customers, employees, and other collaborative partners, and because we do, our product development usually happens in close collaboration with our stakeholders.
